We will see them against a very good Pembroke team. That will be a big test for them.
Nauset wins it all and beats Winchester in the Final
Probably Nauset's best win is over 8-5-3 New Bedford, and next are 2 over 11-4-1 Sandwich. Let's assume Nauset wins out over Pembroke and New Bedford. For anyone willing to consider strength of schedule, it's really hard to put that team first.
You will hate this comparison, but in college football right now, there's an undefeated team that has beaten teams ranked 44, 203, 76, 95, 88, 98, 99 and 122. That schedule is ranked 95th in difficulty among 253 teams (not that different than the number of teams playing boys soccer in E.Mass.). Going 8-0 against that schedule has this team ranked 23rd objectively (computers), and 20th by polls.
It feels like New Bedford is maybe a 30-40 team, Sandwich and Pembroke are maybe 40-60, and that it's not rational to rank a team with those kind of "best wins" as #1. Nothing personal against this particular team Nauset, just trying to point out that in other contexts where far more analysis and polling has been done involving far greater experts than those of us on this board, a sports team that doesn't play regularly against other good teams is not ranked at the top.

Winchester undefeated with 1 tie, beat a tournament bound dcl team 3-0
Belmont 2 losses
Arlington 2 losses
All 3 can play with anyone in the state no matter the division
And if you're serious about this post, you either haven't seen Winchester play or know nothing about the game

Should be a good test for a fantastic Nauset team that is absolutely the best team in the state.
