I think Nauset will be that team. If not, they are still a VERY good team.
MIAA site says Nauset lost 6-0 on Sat.

        Nauset

Nauset won 6-0 on saturday against Monomoy. MIAA must have recorded the score wrong.

Step back and ask yourself "does it make sense that Nauset lost that game 6-0?"

This is a joke right? Braintree and Weymouth do not play kick and chase. You don't challenge to win the best league in the state by playing kick and chase. You just don't.

This leagues a joke. None of these teams could do anything in the playoffs. They're all overrated and frankly put, ****. God bless the referees who have to put up with these teams.

We will see them against a very good Pembroke team. That will be a big test for them.

Nauset wins it all and beats Winchester in the Final
Pembroke does not look like a big test. Pembroke is 11-3-2, which looks good on the face. Then note that they have 2 losses to Silver Lake and 1 to Duxbury, and draws vs Hingham and Bridgewater-Raynham. Pembroke's best win is . . . 1-0 over 7-5-3 Quincy?

Probably Nauset's best win is over 8-5-3 New Bedford, and next are 2 over 11-4-1 Sandwich. Let's assume Nauset wins out over Pembroke and New Bedford. For anyone willing to consider strength of schedule, it's really hard to put that team first.

You will hate this comparison, but in college football right now, there's an undefeated team that has beaten teams ranked 44, 203, 76, 95, 88, 98, 99 and 122. That schedule is ranked 95th in difficulty among 253 teams (not that different than the number of teams playing boys soccer in E.Mass.). Going 8-0 against that schedule has this team ranked 23rd objectively (computers), and 20th by polls.

It feels like New Bedford is maybe a 30-40 team, Sandwich and Pembroke are maybe 40-60, and that it's not rational to rank a team with those kind of "best wins" as #1. Nothing personal against this particular team Nauset, just trying to point out that in other contexts where far more analysis and polling has been done involving far greater experts than those of us on this board, a sports team that doesn't play regularly against other good teams is not ranked at the top.

                    Laughable post

Winchester undefeated with 1 tie, beat a tournament bound dcl team 3-0

                    Belmont 2 losses

                    Arlington 2 losses

All 3 can play with anyone in the state no matter the division

And if you're serious about this post, you either haven't seen Winchester play or know nothing about the game

Ya Pembroke sucks... they are an easy out in the tournament. Oh wait, they typically win at least 2 tourney games, have one of the best coaches around and have talent across the board. Wins in September don't matter as much as wins in November. Should be a good test for a fantastic Nauset team that is absolutely the best team in the state.

Anyone who has seen Braintree play and describes it as anything but kick and chase must be a Braintree parent

Braintree is kick and chase. Weymouth Needham Framingham Brookline are not in my opinion

Yeah i think weymouth actually is a smart team. I watched the Braintree-Archies game and even think archies was a much more smart and disciplined team than braintree honestly. The killer factor that braintree has is size and speed that most teams do no have. So back to the original point, i think they do in fact play lots of kick and run- but thats what wins highschool games if you're good enough at it.
