Great game. Both teams played very well. Brooks had a soft goal off a corner in the 25th minute (roughly) of the first half- weak header near the back post from one of the shorter Brooks players- poor coverage by BH defenders. Brooks had more good chances in the first half and BH had a couple good chances in the first half with the Brooks GK having to reach to push the ball over the cross bar (great save).Wind clearly helped brooks in the first half and they took advantage of it by taking a lot of shots (BH didn't use the wind to their advantage in the second half). BH Goalie and defenders defended very well. 2nd half, BH attacked constantly but had only a couple of good opportunities in the box; one in particular should have been an easy goal but BH forward flubbed it. Brooks kinda slowed down in the 2nd half allowing BH to have the possession. Great game overall with excellent soccer from both teams.Originally posted by Unregistered View PostComment

This win, along with the Milton draw vs Rivers, really puts Brooks in the driver's seat for the league title, and essentially eliminates BH from contention. Brooks can now clinch first place by winning out before they even have to play Milton. Milton now needs help from somebody, while Nobles still has an outside shot if they can manage to beat both Milton and Brooks (unlikely, but possible).Originally posted by Unregistered View PostComment

It will not be easy for Brooks to win out as they have the better teams remaining on their schedule. But yes they have their destiny in their own hands. I think they will have at least one blemish before the season ends..likely a tie or two but maybe a loss. Milton is not guaranteed to win out either as they also have some tough games ahead with Nobles, BH, and Brooks of course.Originally posted by Unregistered View PostComment
