If a player starts her career with Washington Timbers, and then transfers to FP ECNL for her junior and senior years--credit goes to FC.
If a player starts her career with FC Portland, and then goes to Thorns Academy for high school--credit goes to FC.
Heck, if a player plays for FC's micros program in first grade then plays competitive soccer for Westside through middle school and THUSC afterwards--credit for her development goes to FC.

What is this crap....
Oh and fc Portland and cu, don't talk trash. You've been taking credit like that for years now. Funny that when the club hoppers have one more place to go you can't take anymore credit.

I think the thorns are a bunch of self declared bs artists that assume control and status without having anything to back it up.
But I'm happy fc Portland and cu are getting a taste of their own bs medicine.
There is no question.
They've claimed college signs for kids that just wanted to try something out and was already on their way for many years now.

It is silly for FC Portland to take credit for last year transfers as well or players who have already committed prior to ever playing for FC Portland.
The whole thing about a club developing a player is really overrated anyways.

If the top-of-the-stack clubs (GDA, DA, ECNL) gave more credit to the local clubs that supply them with talent, they might not be disliked so much. But for FC and CU to complain about this is rich.
