Scrimmage is just a scrimmage - not a real game. Both teams have some talent, as well as some fanatical parents. I see the style of play for these teams to be slightly different: counter-striking vs possession-based. Agree/disagree? Is one style more effective for this age?

It was just a scrimmage, outdoors in December. Valeo without #10 and few others. NEFC without starting striker and center back, so both teams were light. Scores are irrelevant - having top local teams play is good for development. Kids will benefit from competition.

Sounds like you were there. The weather was not really a factor and even the Valeo kids wore shorts. Way too much conversation about a scrimmage. Like AI said practice, PRACTICE!
