Yea and they had Mac Steeves who just got done tearing up the final 4. If Needham has a D1 scholarship player on their team this year, please let me know.

I just wanted to add that obviously they will be fine. They have a great program. The question is whether or how much they drop off from last year.

Needham is a great program, and they are consistently good every year. I don't see anyone being able to challenge them in the Bay State this coming year, except maybe Framingham, who started a lot of underclass men the previous season, and had success.

Read #26. Needham's had a really good 4-year run, but in 2010, they were merely above average in their league. Yes, it's a top league, but it shows they can return to normal like everyone else. But the return to normal may not be in 2015.

              d1-4 north and south favorites

Who do you think will be left standing at the end of the season in all 4 divisions?
Seems like D1 south and some of the north have been discussed.
              d1 Framingham
              D2 concord Carlisle
              D3 Foxboro
              D4 st marys

It's harder to think about the lower divisions because of how the tournament is set up. MIAA should move away from the 1/2 division (d2, only contested in E.Mass.). The main thing to do first is sort the teams into size divisions on a state-wide basis. Having Hudson in Division 1 with 416 boys, while nearby schools in North with 500-600+ boys are in Division 2, indicates the change that should be adopted.

                  1) CC lost a lot of seniors -- D2 therefore more open

                  2) Lexington expecting to do well with their strong Senior and Junior classes.

                  Thoughts?

Similar points made by #13. CC's enrollment means they should be in d1. Doing that would also open up d2.

How else is Dual County shaping up? A-B or L-S seem like threats? Surprise like Boston Latin this year?

Yes, some of the other MIAA sports have a more logical way of establishing size divisions. Maybe soccer could do so as well.

BC High should win the whole thing next fall.

BC High graduated several and their best player is a Bolts DAP player. Based on what would you elevate them to top status?

The facts never get in the way of an argument from someone at BC (or BCH)

BCH had a chance last year before running into Needham. This is not their year.
D2 is CC until someone proves me wrong
                              D3 Foxboro has everyone back
                              D4 who knows

Agreed. D1 I pick a dual-county team such as A-B or L-S. Seems like BCH and Needham will not be as strong. CC should be the favorite again for D2.
