Ok, with regards to the TBU & WFF U12 girls teams, they both played up 11 v 11, they both played CDL B U13 & they played in Region C D2 U13.
However, they also played in NPL against the best U12 11v 11 teams in the state. They also played in the Jr. Soccer Showcase in November.
To say that both of these teams did not play competitive teams throughout the year is doing both a disservice.

The post did not say that, but the original post about TBU did point out that they won Region Cup U13 DII, sorry for a team of that quality it is not that impressive. I am sure they play several good teams and are great team. However I think it is fair to say the teams they faced in Region Cup DII were not, nor were the CDL B teams. Same with saying they are better than the U12 at LP, none of this says much about them.

To compare u12 LP and U12 TBU playing up 11v11 in u13 is comparing apples to oranges.....

Great weekend for some LFCA west Florida teams: u10 girls win best of the bay tournament, U11 girls 3rd at D2 A/C cup in ft Myers and u12 girls 3rd at D2A/C cup in ft Myers (beat the Chargers in OT and PK's). U12 boys also had a great showing at the best of the bay tournament shutting out Oldsmr and Wff.

U9-U12 girls definitely have a great future ahead with their success so far this season and will only continue to get better. There has already been interest from other clubs to try out for rising U12's next season playing 11v11. U9 girls currently have two teams. U11 girls will also be growing.

nobody wants to play 11 v 11 D2 or USA league. They will go to the bigger clubs that offer the better leagues. You guys are clueless. Nobody is saying that you dont have pretty good teams. For players to develop and for teams to transition to 11 v 11 you need 18 good players and a competitive league so that the kids continue to improve and are challenged. Our club could play smaller tournaments and "win every one" but whats the point?

I dont know if you know this but Alfred St had a good season in college soccer this year. THe thing is that nobody notices and nobody cares because its not the big leagues and its where players go when they cant play on a better college team. Some will choose that school because of academics and ceramic engineering but when it comes to soccer, kids want to reach for the stars and play for the best team possible. Its very hard to get there playing the Eric Hucklebone school for the blind, B teams, Div II teams.

The rising u11 and u12 girls will be in division I next season. As for 18 girls on a team for 11v11, that's too many. 16 is ideal and all girls play so they can learn and develop. With 18 or more girls, you have too many girls traveling to big and expensive tournaments and sitting on the bench and not even playing one minute. Ask some TBU. Parents about this.....

Other then the high school age groups (U15-U18), what TBU team has 18 players?

I agree. If you look at the rosters two teams have 18 girls and one team has 17girls. Too many girls not playing during games. In the long run, this does not help them develop into a better player.

from U13 and up there are injuries that come into play. need a full roster with 16 field players and two GK to have a solid team
