They have two GDA teams struggling to fill rosters. Their better players leaving older age groups. Losing ECNL. Losing NPL. Parents getting lied to by DOC and board. Negative atmosphere. Mistrust. High prices. Subpar coaching. DOC who is never around and promises the world. DOC threatening to call college coaches on kids that don’t go to nationals to tell the coaches about those kids character and commitment. Spreading lies about other clubs and their status in GDA. Parents with way too much influence on who is on teams. Parents who feel intimidated by DOC. Anything else?
Not to mention holding ECNL tryouts when they knew they were losing the ECNL....

Yes they knew and they probably knew about NPL as well. Not that players have many options at this point but everyone should be allowed to leave if they want. In fact, parents should demand it.

These teams were getting crushed in their leagues. Why would these players want to play in leagues where they are getting crushed every week? Moving to a more appropriate level of league is best for these players.

That sounds exactly like HS soccer, getting crushed every week is the vast majority. To the guy that thinks my daughter is going to miss the pep rallies, and drunk classmates, hahaha, she is too busy getting ready for D1 college soccer, where she will probably be a starter, and No HS soccer cannot prepare you for that....

You are flat out wrong. College will be gone in a flash. Probably won’t even play first two years. Not to mention they play about only a 17 game schedule and season over by end of October. Then your kid will look back and have many regrets. You obviously didn’t play college sports. Have fun and stop defending being stuck at Alby.

What does this have to do with HS soccer?

Well when you're a D1 athlete you have no social life, so I guess GDA is preparing his kid for that? Just a guess.

GDA would not be that league - they'll also get their butts handed to them all the time AND they get to give up high school! Doesn't that sound great?! EDP, sure that makes sense for the NPL teams but families didn't know that in May. ECNL kids probably would like to stay in ECNL - if they wanted GDA they would have moved already last year or this year at tryouts. Families were sold a bill of goods. They made decisions based on the assumption they'd be playing in a certain league(s). There is no defending that, so just stop defending it.
