Sure it’s fun kicking butt but doesn’t help with soccer development. BesIdes, the Thorns is subsidized so the girls are basically being paid to not play HS soccer.

Club Soccer is available for all.
HS Soccer is available for all.
If you don't want to play local club soccer or HS Soccer you can tryout and be selected for either the Timbers MLS or THORNS NWSL DA program.
Only thing that's changed actually changed in our state is we have an actual DA presence with the Portland MLS & NWSL franchises.

If you don't want to play local club soccer or HS Soccer you can sign up any time for either the Timbers MLS or THORNS NWSL DA program.
Guaranteed playing time and meet and greets with celebrities is something you only get with the NWSL Thorns. No other club in Portland offers it. Makes it different.
It’s not playing time it’s starts but same cool factor.

Looks like Eugene’s 01’s are going belly up. Two starters spotted playing for Westside this weekend. A 3rd rumored to be joining them.
