Announcement is just as vague as the Smithtown one. Nothing is promised except getting the slammers name on the uniform. Wonder how much more the parents will have to pay to have that name.

Can't figure out what having the name of a California based soccer club on their uniforms will accomplish.

Unless they are firing LIPS and importing a bunch of coaches from the California programs, it's just putting a new coat of paint on the old dodge and acting as if that made the engine run better.

Talked to a couple people involved in this. Sachem literally gets nothing out of this besides a new name and higher costs. Some people are really pissed off. It also might be a violation of their lease for the fields with the school district since they are outright partnering with a for-profit entity.

Yes was just thinking that myself. Effectively it's become SUSA but without league affiliations, teams past U12, decent trainers, and a functional board. Hats off to Lips though, one of the top salesman around.

News flash Sachem School Board is not the pillar of integrity. They have openly been caught violating the rules that govern school boards in NY state and guess what? Nothing happened to them and they continue to serve on the board. If Pamela Gluckin from Roosevelt can steal millions it’s safe to say a lot of crap goes on and unchecked.

I am all but sure Sachem youth soccer will take a further decline.

Please. People are so over all these next big thing soccer ventures. They never ever ever match the hype. Not even close. Sorry. LI has been to the rodeo many many many times.
