Won't change any hearts or minds

but this is a paragraph I hope will get some people thinking anyway.

Trump Is Not Well: Accepting the reality about the president’s disordered personality is important—even essential.

"An analogy may be helpful here. If smoke is coming out from under the hood of your car, if you notice puddles of oil under it, if the engine is overheating and you smell burning oil, you don’t have to be a car mechanic to know that something is wrong with your car."

    https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/ar...t-well/597640/

It is absolutely possible to be a Republican or a Democrat and not want Trump to be president. It is absolutely possible to be a Republican or a Democrat and your opposition to Trump not be based on hatred of the man, but a deep conviction he is fundamentally unsuited for the job.

Criticism of Trump isn't hatred. It's fear for our country. He's a clear and present danger. Ignore that at everyone's peril.

You are right the loyal Trump fans will stay loyal to the end. But there's plenty of more centrist Republicans out there that don't like where the country is going. Unfortunately the GOP can't and won't allow a real primary challenger to Trump (Mark Sanford? come on). They'd love nothing better then to get rid of Trump because he's sinking the party and the country, but they don't see any way out. So they'll sink both rather than do what's right. At least in the UK members of the parliament are quitting over BoJo. They're trying not to sell out their country.
