How to play both HS and DA

If there are 2 programs close to each other , IMG and WFF or BOCA and WESTON, quit your current team , cite that your kid really wants to play HS or is “obligated” to play HS , play HS and then since your original team probably isn’t happy and prob won’t take you back , go to the other team in February. Viola

    Am I missing anything?

Yes, you’re forgetting about the whole paying twice bit.

Even if you don’t care about paying twice , or the new club is desperate and will just make u buy uniforms and waive fees or prorate , the old club has to release you since it’s the same DA league

Yeah you are missing the part about how US Soccer would not allow your kid to be rostered on any DA team after HS has been played that year. Believe it or not they are paying attention and rosters are posted for everyone to see. If it is so important for your kid to play high school there is probably no need to play DA anyway.

So that works the freshman year, what do you do for the rest of the years after you burned the bridge with the first club?

No they aren't. Is USSF scanning the local news sites for HS game reports to find mentions of DA players? Of course not. Even when it has been pointed out to them the most that happens is the player stops playing HS. No sanctions for the player or the club that allows it (and the clubs know - soccer is a small world). Here it's easier for players to try and justify it because the HS season is during the quiet period for DA. In many states the high school season is in the fall so clubs get around the rule by not rostering players for the fall then adding them once HS is over but it's still well within the add on period.

If they made it really hurt for the rule breakers (like you're off the team for the year) and the club then it would stop immediately. Make it hurt because there will always be people who think the rules don't apply to them.

this works the first year and only for private school kids, they get the magical "waiver" LOL and then when HS is over they work out a deal with the new club-- clubs will take any talent hoping to get the full coin the following year

btw HS soccer sucks , its a torn acl waiting to happen but whatever floats your boat

private school kids receiving financial aide can get waivers.

Not to say girls don't get hurt playing HS but
kids get hurt and tear ACL in club games. You look at most u14 and above girl club rosters and they often can get only 14 healthy girls ready for each game.

As for what sucks, end of the day most college soccer sucks too, outside top 10 percent of the D1 programs. Also girls get hurt playing college soccer too, so might want avoid that as well. Why risk getting hurt play a college soccer game that really isn't leading to anything.

Cuz no one ever gets hurt playing DA air ECNL. Btw Dr., most acl injuries are non contact.
