    Wow, that is a pretty dumb statement. 90% of all women top level executives were college athletes. Look it up if you don't believe me. So as black and white as that dumb statement is, it is wrong. Especially since you are speaking for the entire workforce. Passionate creators, that's a good one. Discipline isn't conforming. So you keep reasoning with your kid and then wonder why he gets kicked out of school because all he has to do is explain his passionate creations to mommy.

        Generation X will save us. We want students and players to be responsible, to manage themselves, to problem solve, to be independent and interdependent. This doesn't happen by expecting them to show up like robots with the coach in full control. Yes, a little discipline of showing up on time and putting in the work is important, but they need to take ownership and be active, reflective, innovative, responsive, and engaged. Dictator-like soccer practices and games won't accomplish what is needed to create successful National teams and our future workforce.
