There are teams listed in this page that were gutted of returning starters - there are teams here that will struggle to make their sectional post teams by returning starter count and that will speak volumes. Westford has a chance in North, Newton in South and there’s last years champs definitely in the cup mix... some of the listed teams will suffer head scratching blowouts but depth is what gets out to the final 4.

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostYou are right. One of the teams on the list does not have a keeper that has played more than a handful of JV games (and never played the position before). The team also had its top 3 rising juniors leave the school, and only has 2 returning senior starters. The list was based on name only, and demonstrates no understanding of what's actually in the programs this year.

... humility (rare and positive but there are a few coaches whom get gold star here) and at times ineptitude (and a little goes a long way when paired with arrogance) of coaching staff and particularly overall chemistry of some programs which is a deal breaker in the win column when it does not gel. All coach controls, all big variables.

Hingham and WH will be very good; Natick a step below
Mansfield hasn't won two tourney games ever (18 seniors?? really??)
Marshfield always a tough out, in spite of their coach

I’ll add that while generally weak Bedford (up and coming $ in this area means better soccer) will be competitive in the DCL maybe placing 3rd and in the post season mix and that Newton South will deliver a few uncomfortable nights sleep to both conference and out of conference opponents and this of course all depends on the health of a handful of players on these squads and ...

Braintree has some good young talent, but the coach is awful and will do his usual head games to screw them all up
