There is not one team in OYSA who could beat any Oregon ECNL or GDA team. Not even close. I know the GPS honks would beg to differ, but they are clearly wrong.

Ecnl & Gda have some strong teams but so does oysa. FCSC 00, Salem 01, ***c 02 and GPS 03. Oregon’s best players are spread across all 3 leagues.

GPS is clearly better than any 03 team in the state and play a tougher schedule instead of the watered down Ecnl league.

Wash t 02 is a better soccer team far and away than anything in Oregon. We've played them and probably CU would give them a game but there is no question that Fcp and cu Ecnl aren't at their level.

Ecnl teams from Oregon are a joke and if for some reason you think you are better because years ago Ecnl had many of the top players(none from Oregon) you clearly are riding on lies or are gullible. Top players from Ecnl have left and what is left is last place teams like cu and Fcp saying they are great but don't have anything to back it up.

OYSA teams as a whole aren't as solid but teams like salmon creek 00 wash t 02s have shown they are as good if not better than anything Oregon has to offer. There is a reason why teams from Fcp or CU try to talk trash from afar but know they wouldn't fair well if they played them.

Even Cfc would probably beat Fcp but everyone does it seems at this point.

For those who don't know, those are two teams that compete very well outside of the state, along with the FCSC 00 group. This post is certainly from a CU coach/doc trying to pad their wallet and distract from their 5 goal loss last weekend prior to "qualifying" for "nationals". Can someone please explain how the team that beat CU and put up a 5 spot isn't in the "national finals"?
Good on them, they were able to buy their way into a tournament that they call "national finals". In the meantime, they attack teams that earn their place. Buyer beware, this is what they do with your club dues, drink beer on a Friday while attacking others. Money well spent. By all means, drink that expensive koolaid.

CU's 01s are pretty good but their 05s aren't as good as the thorns. 03s are good but 02s are weak. At other ages they aren't better than the above. Have a much more solid teams at every age then anyone else.

GPS is still the best 03 team in state and they have accomplishments to prove it. CU keeps saying they are but all they have is a watered down Crossfire challenge to show.

Thorns 01/02 is done. 02/03 team isn't close to being top in state. 05s will be good but only until the flaky parents try to move to the next best place.

Seen them both multiple times and it's always the same. Thugs in the midfield and defence, and bootballs down the field to semi-fast forwards who like to toe-punt their shots. Very low skill levels overall but not bad for OYSA 2nd div.

Where are these GPS "accomplishments"? How many games have they played against ECNL or GDA opponents? Win any? Or do they just boot it long in OYSA, then play the 3rd tier leftovers in USYS? What are they doing this summer to show us they are #1? Nothing? Didn't think so? Hard to prove what you ain't...
