So Tom is only going to coach next years U14s. He's giving up the two teams he coached this year.

G01s are the next strong group for CU. Not much at 00 and 99

98s are regressing and 97s are weak.

With all of their ACL tears and the player that just came back from ACL. The statement is probably pretty close to the truth

It was only a matter of time before that team imploded with all of the egos. Both on the field and in the stands. You knew that come recruiting time the jealousy would boil over.

Only 1 ego on this team, player thinks she can score without help and from 40 yards out

Actually, about 7 parents all feel that way about 7 different girls.

It's been disappointing for several age groups. From CU coach only playing player 10 min in SD showcase game (wth?) to players thinking they haven't improved to coaches not following their own club guidelines. Retaining players will be the biggest challenge at this rate.

I would never be one to defend CU coaches, however I speak with parents from different parts of the country and they have kids who go to games, flying cross country, who don't even get into a single game. If kids aren't getting much time under CU coaches, that's not unique. It happens with a number of ECNL teams. Just for some perspective. However, I do agree that retention is going to be a big challenge for CU.

The problem here was with it being a showcase. If ECNL is to give female players better exposure to college coaches then why on earth would the coach not play equal time for the players to all be seen? Huge, huge mistake in our eyes and they are losing players because of it. Thousands of dollars spent to sit during a showcase is unacceptable for ANY ECNL team in any area of the country.

Only speaking from our experience but when we just traveled to SD last weekend and we had 4 U17's playing with us and the coaches started them over the U18's already signed. It was a true showcase as those girls had coaches specifically looking at them. Bash ECNL all you want but we experienced a totally different situation. They were showcasing girls not signed that wanted to continue playing.

Not surprising. CU ECNL has a life expectancy of two years, tops.
