Means they don't just forget about them if they end up on a B/C team. NEFC spends too much worrying about kids who will probably give up the game before high school. They are actually too nice and should just cut those kids instead of constantly trying to placate their whinny mothers.

They are not placating, they are taking money from willing participants.

It is about money. Why would you think otherwise? How do the coaches get paid, fields rented, etc without money. There are a lot of parents who are smart enough to know their kid is not going pro. It can just be about training. Do you really think your kid is something special or just better than a few other kids that showed at tryouts? Seriously some of the folks posting here are delusional.

Pretty sure the conversation to merge with NEFC, was started by BW. They have been slipping ever since the dissolve of the partnership with Crusaders and FH. Good for the south coast area and N RI. Think that NEFC learned from not jumping on Stingrays last year, when they had a chance. This is going to make the stars in the south a little tougher. Going to be interesting to see if CSU responds to this? They're not a tiny little club anymore. 1000 kids and 60 teams. With Galway slipping, might be worth a conversation. Is the decision to go north, and not focus everything on the base of the south, going to be Scorps/Breakers demise?

Good for south coast families, this will give a better choice. CSU by the way is down to 39 teams with around 750 players. So long as TD and BJ don't make any decisions they will do fine. Galway is slipping and will be interested to see if they do anything.
