    New UW Women's Coach

Anyone else find it strange that UW hasn't announced a new coach for their women's soccer program yet??? Leslie announced her retirement way back before the season and so they've had plenty of time.

I thought Teresa Romagnolo or Amy Griffin might be the front runners. Anyone hear other rumors?

They had their first choice reject them. So I assume they were rejected by a couple more people.

Who was the first choice? The coach that went to Oregon?

Why in the world would a non-P5 coach turn down a job in the P5 in the PAC 12?

Yes: UNC, UCLA, Stanford, FSU, Duke.

                  “Power 5” conferences? No.

I’m sure plenty of coaches would prefer to coach Seattle U in the WAC instead of UW in the PAC12. Just like I’m sure plenty would prefer Gonzaga U I’m the WCC over WSU in the PAC12.

Power 5 means almost nothing outside of revenue generating sports, mostly Football. You think Mark Few would leave Gonzaga to coach at Oregon State?

I can see Gonzaga over WSU because WSU is much lower academically but UW is even better academically and has much more money... Oregon State is in a nice town and is a decent school but see your point about not choosing it. I though PAC 12 was the holy grail but maybe that doesn’t hold for Oregon State, Oregon, or Utah but UW is a top school and will attract recruits no matter who the coach is.

Garth Reistad, UW deputy investment officer — $719,400
Christopher Murray, UW professor — $715,400

I wouldn't mind having that assistant coach gig :)

Nick at UA took a $2,825,000‬ pay cut last year, I'm thinking about setting up a Gofundme page to help him out.

No need to guess. State employee salaries are all public information. Just go to wa.gov and look it up. LG made $151,700 last year.

All I have heard is decent things about her. She worked her way up and should theoretically do well. Will be very interesting to see how she recruits and whether or not she can beat out WSU who has had a fantastic recruiting year.
