    GDA is restructuring

    Here is your proof.
    Dear Families,

Late last week, we learned that U.S. Soccer intends to restructure and consolidate the Girls Development Academy program across the country. As part of that process, U.S. Soccer requested that we provide the club's program initiatives for the 2019-2020 season including; Market Assessment, DA Staffing Model (Academy Director and Coaches), Player Pool and Depth Charts, and Club Developmental Model.

In full transparency and trying to be proactive with your best interests in mind, we requested that U.S. Soccer provide a representative to answer questions, comments and concerns recently posed to the West Florida Flames Staff. U.S. Soccer approved our request and agreed to send Morgan Church, U.S. Soccer DA Club Development Manager. U.S. Soccer will be present to address the current developmental platform offered by West Florida Flames within the Development Academy including; methodology, player development initiatives, programming, training environment, personal development model and how it is aligned with U.S. Soccer DA requirements.

We invite you to attend a question and answer session with U.S. Soccer during our Girls' DA ID Clinic on Tuesday, April 16th at 7:15PM on Field #8 at JC Handly Park in the stands behind .

Please know that we remain actively engaged in working to provide our players with elite level coaches, training and playing opportunities to help them reach their goals.

    Thank you,

    Jorge Zavala
    Director of Soccer
    West Florida Flames

^ nothing but a bunch of bullshít and fake news. The only way that the GDA is going to restructure is when it is no longer a thing. That day is much closer than most think - probably 18 to 24 months at most.

Interesting and looking forward to the meeting.

Trying to read between the lines..."Restructuring" sounds more like reevaluating Clubs and what they are doing as far as coaching, scouting, and development. Cutting dead weight. Has WFF been definitely renewed for next year or they still being evaluated is the big question.

Agree the opening post is a bit of comic gold. GDA wont' change until they have to. They'll keep on struggling for next year then announce a "new and improved" league this time next year. They're not waiving the white flag quite yet. They still think it's working lol

They're not cutting anyone. Clubs may leave on their own but no one is getting cut. USSF cares more about market share than quality. At worst clubs will be put on probation for next year, that is all. Next year deadwood will be cut because then USSF will have no choice but to slim down and try and up the quality level.

How can the club answer questions when nothing has been announced? I guess the troll didn't think that through.

Boca has already told parents they're done, so I don't think you are correct.

U.S. Soccer is not doing anything to WFF. Just look at U.S. Soccer's model as it applies to Chargers. Chargers have been bad for years without DA being pulled. As stated previously, its all about market share ($$$$).

YY--- You are a punk coward. You knew this weeks back. You're too cowardly to tell people to their face, so you make some DA representative take the punch for you. I'm sure you'll conveniently act like you had no idea when Morgan reveals to audience tonight. I'll be watching to see your expression, you mf'r. If this program folds, you need to resign and fold with it.

perhaps, but I'm not sure you can compare boys to girls.

boys da is much more established league and ecnl is trying to make headway.

the converse is true for girls and ussf is worried about losing more top level clubs from gda because they are forced to play teams that arent competitive. i think they are trying to get out in front of that.

Looks like YY is letting Ms. Church fall on the sword, so he can act like he had no idea.
                          Classy move YY. Classy.

Or, maybe he's having her come in and tell everyone what YY's plan is moving forward and squash any doubts that the're not being renewed.

US Soccer let WFF know it is curtains for next year, so instead of facing the music like a real director, he tells US Soccer you dropped us, you come tell the parents, I am not doing it.
