last filing publicly available was 2016 which showed net profit of over $300K. NYA's finances and operations are separate from AC's.

That is funny. AC is completely average. Rush and CFC are still pulling from that area. CFC has ECNL but is solid/weak all across the boys side. Rush plays in EDP and has some pretty strong teams, they would get it before AC. AC is solid but no where near the level of CFC or Rush on the boys side in that area yet.

PD tried to sell but that fell through. Spot on for coaches

That’s not exactly what it shows. Grants and donations are factored into that. Those don’t happen every year. Some of those came from PD’s other business so he could show a loss there I’m guessing. Now maybe for him a loss helps him. Hard to say without knowing his finances. But if you take out the influx of cash, it lost a few hundred grand as someone else posted.

dumb response. any payment given to a non-profit is a donation. you don't know that some of those came from PD because it isn't itemized that way, you are just assuming. NYA is open 16 hours a day - with revenue streams coming in from more than turf rentals and leagues. but hey, keep bashing.

NYA is not doing well. They have had several management companies in there. The facility was supposedly sold but the deal fell through. The main benefactor is getting older. Most of his kids aren’t interested in the NYA.

Looking at a 990 from three years ago doesn’t shed much light. Case in point look up Beachside's 990 from three years ago.

And your sources are? Yeah, we believe anonymous posters. Someone sure likes to trash AC, over and over again.

No one is bashing it. Simply saying it is struggling bc it is. The problem is the cost to build, plus the extension and reno that was done after. The total cost is too high to make a profit on even if it is packed all day. You can only charge so much money. That place in Trumbull in the same boat as is the one in Norwalk. I’m going to guess Chelsea Piers with its astronomical price tag, isn’t making money hand over fist. No idea on the cost of the CFC place but if it was too high, that will struggle as well. It’s about the cost not the revenue, bc the revenue has limits.

And that only relates to the owner. It doesn't relate to AC CT as a soccer club except if he has continued to subsidize it. With the number of teams they have now I find it hard to believe they aren't profitable. If he sold NYA then AC would just rent indoor space from the new owners or elsewhere. This is AC's 5th year and they don't seem to be going anywhere, despite claims every year they're going bellyup

Maybe. Or maybe not. The current structure doesn’t seem to be working at NYA so maybe they’ll turn it into a go kart track instead. AC hanging on as a nice lousy club option.

Saying it in a different manner doesn't make it nit more true

Quit the hyperbole. no one is saying that ACC is going belly up. Although keep in mind a lot of clubs get to a certain level and then regress (Samba, BS, South Central, or AC Caldo all come to mind in Western Connecticut

However what people are saying is that ACC is a good alternative for Western CT but it’s not high level soccer. It’s okay level soccer. Nothing more and nothing less. The ACC coaches are middling level high school coaches who are decent coaches but not great. PS they are extremely disorganized at the business level

Yes PD did subsidize ACC starting out. Frankly ACC is stabilizing the NYA. You can’t separate the two
