It's just a weekly update, not the complete list. Point being no one is supposed to be committing. Clearly the loopholes are working

The new rules are so easy to thwart it’s silly.

The rules never said players couldn’t commit, just that the timeline they could talk directly to the coaches about recruiting was different. For now, communications can happen through club coaches, and if player calls college coach directly. Now if the NEW new rules go through, that should end that. Any idea when that is supposed to go to vote?

I believe this month and if passed effective June 1. It is silly to think people wouldn't take advantage of loopholes, making least year's changes half azzed at best.

What do the new rules say? Specific about NOT allowing any verbal commits?

No back door communication with coaches or any contact with players (even if they call and coach picks up) until June after Sophomore year. That in effect prevents and commitments through these loopholes.

But how are they committing without talking with coaches and visiting? Of course they're talking.
The loopholes they left in place were a joke.

Hello!!! They ARE talking to coaches... Either through their club coach or when a player calls them directly and they answer. That was never banned, and what became the loopholes. But if the newer rules pass this month, that will change, and those activities will be banned , and those loopholes will be closed.

                        I said they were talking.

The last round of rules was a farce. If the new rules are passed you'll also see an end to those early commit lists because then for certain there are backdoor conversations going on.

If the new rules go into effect, kids can still talk to go coaches June 15 after their sophomore year. All this does is essentially stop the 10th grade and younger communications. Hopefully this evens the playing field.
