Really? I thought the coaches on the BDA side at OW were pretty good. What coaches at CFC blow them away?

FYI - not a troll. Not a OW or FSA or CFC fanboy. Just trying to get answer to help decide club for kid.

If they're not playing much where they are now. While some clubs have politics and pushy parents, most times coaches aren't playing your kid for a reason. Parents just refuse to admit it to themselves. If your kid is trying out elsewhere? First, don't do tryouts but ask the attend a few practices. Can you kid keep up or do they just look lost? Go watch some team games - can your kid honestly keep up with the pace of play?

Parental inability to see their kids' flaws is a primary reason for so many club moves.

OW BDA is a fine choice amongst a state filled with suitable but not great coaches. If you're considering OW then the bigger questions are a) does your kid really want BDA and b) are they good enough for it? Making a squad is one thing. Getting meaningful PT is another. The best training in the US won't be nearly as meaningful to their development if they never play. In case you haven't guess it, OW doesn't have the best training in the US ;)

Don't listen to people here, go and see for yourself. OW consistently has teams in the Academy playoffs, and as a team not associated with an MLS team that is pretty damn good. Must be doing something right.

CFC coaching staff is good. Nothing more than what other clubs have, some good coaches that are also at various colleges. Those college coaches also happen to spend majority of time at their college program and they are not recruiting their CT players. CFC boys will continue to struggle attracting talent and retaining talent. Their own branches don’t even send their players to them.

Completely making things up, that’s to be expected on here I suppose. This site really could be so useful, but the majority of info on here is complete garbage or half truths.

Typically a team per year I would guess? This is an accomplishment, no doubt. To the other posters point though, getting on the team is one thing, getting meaningful minutes is another.

Yep, they add outside players every year to get them there since they can't grow these kids at home.

Yep, such as life. Even in your job you hire somebody from the outside because somebody was lost to another business, can't always start from the bottom up. Pretty rare to have the same group from age 10-18, would be quite an accomplishment to do so though.

If going to add players, it seems like they add the right ones then if we want to go that route.
