      And for both Levya and Pulisic it was never about college - they were swinging for the stars. That cannot be said about 99.8% of GDA players, not only because of lack of interest but also lack of ability to make it as a pro player

            The ability to make money as a pro abroad is completely different than here, even more so men's vs women's. Nike is taking a gamble that he'll develop into something huge, just like they're taking a gamble with her. Only a female player in the US will never pay out in the same way a male player will abroad. He gets bonuses if he hits certain milestones once he turns pro. She might as well, but the amounts will be vastly different.

                that's true for most sports; more pro opportunities for boys and even for boys becoming a pro in any sport is even more limited.
