Ask yourself what is going on the south and north of you:
South: teams are split between ecnl and gda. my money is ecnl.
North: crossfire can do whatever they want. reign is looking for a home and resources.
The way GDA is set up, it may work in SoCal, TX and the somewhere on the East Coast.
At the end of the day, the consumers will win out and both parties will have to work together.

From one east coast club that quit gda:
As a result of this decision, VDA has notified U.S. Soccer that it will not renew its membership into the girls’ Development Academy for 2018-19, but is fully committed to complete the 2017-18 season, including all league games and showcase events. VDA remains committed to the boys’ DA, as well as men and women’s CCL Pro 23 moving forward.

Where would Westside possibly come up with the coin to fund this very expensive program??? As I understand the Thorn’s org may toss in a few bucks to help smooth the transition but it won’t put a dent in the total cost. Going to be just another local club in way over their head!

They didn’t really seem like they knew anything about soccer but that is beside the point. They were driving rental Prius and had lots of fast food bags in their car. Probably getting meals covered by employer . Beyond epic for sure.
