Relax.... just saying the raw number doesn't mean anything without the total tests. You can have more raw numbers of positive test with the positive rate declining.

Yup. They need to look at the percent positive and hospital rooms available. If we have 150 positives out of 10,000 Tests it’s the same as getting 300 out of 20,000 tests (BTW testing is predominantly of asymptomatic individuals going on or returning from vacation, people that attended parties etc).

We have gone up a bit in % positives, but not alarmingly so (yet) but there is a slight uptick in patients hospitalized and in ICU/on ventilators. Something to watch, but not panic about.

Thankfully your NOT taking care of folks. How patients are cared for with covid has changed. Therefore, your suggested metrics although important is NOT (like deaths) critical.

I don’t know. I don’t really see an uptick in cases. Any uptick seems to be in the noise statistically speaking.

It’s only the percent positive that matters. The lower the better. If we can keep it under 5 we are doing good. If we keep it at 2 or less the kids WILL get in person learning and sports. # positive is useless. 162 out of 162 tests would be bad. 162 out of 324 would be bad. 162 out of 12000 is great.

Not really. Test and positives are meaningless.
The best measure is how many are hospitalized and being treated for Covid. Not much else matters. As long as everyone who gets sick (symptoms) can get treated, we need to keep moving forward.

MH got a lifeline from Juventus and took all his cronies with him. He got out just before they closed the doors. To try his best to distance himself from The failings of GPS, despite the club crumbling under his leadership.

Prior to that the club was thriving with AP at the helm. Now AP at Surf & MH at Juventus, you’ll get a good sense of the direction each of those clubs will take.

I agree with you that those numbers (Hospitalizations) are the important to monitor. However % positive does matter because the percent positive now provides the ability to predict the percent increase in beds needed in 2 weeks. As percent positive goes up, hospitals start deciding what may change in 2 weeks. Hospitals are well positioned for any future surge but do monitor the percent positive. It’s a fluid situation for sure. But as Baker pointed out yesterday the data in Massachusetts supports full in person learning this fall.

There are currently multiple hospitals in MA with ZERO covid cases being treated. Yet, our governor went crazy on Friday, cutting some aspects of re-opening and delaying things even further. Time to vote him out.

Disagree with the decision but I'll be voting for him again.

Time to vote our liberals masquerading (to use his new favorite word) as republicans.
