Yes you are confused. And clueless.

And the dominant Milton team from a few years ago was loaded with GPS NPL players. There are certainly a few DAP waiver kids who are impact players in the league as well, but if you watch this league at all, its clear that the NEFC/GPS NPL kids are right there with them.
Soccer powerhouses, can anyone say private equity boys?

It’s shocking that forwards are high scorers in the isl. Shocking. That tells you nothing.

OK. Then look at the All-ISL and All-State lists from the ISL. Again, loaded with NEFC and GPS NPL players. But I'm sure that wont convince you either.

What's really shocking is that you cannot follow the thread. The statement was made that the NEFC/GPS etc type club players are mid-pack "role players" in the ISL. As the last poster illuminated, the top scorers in the league play for NEFC, GPS, etc. Or perhaps Bolts NPL/ECNL.

How and why is that even debatable?

Look, this is just dumb. If the impact players aren't on a GPS or NEFC NPL team (or a Stars ECNL team, which also should have been included), what teams are they on? Apart from the Bolts and Revs DA teams (and there are very, very few DA players in the ISL), those GPS/NEFC/Stars teams are the best teams in the state. Players from those teams aren't going to be overshadowed by some kid who plays for Nova or Mill City.

HAHAHAHAHA so you are telling me if your kid got into Columbia or Penn two of the best schools in the world to lay soccer you would still be ripping on it. I laugh because you are so pathetic. Give those kids some props, last thing they need is some lazy twat whose son is awful throwing their names around. You sir are a loser.

Why is it surprising that ISL schools mostly attract players from non-DA clubs and the top scorers go on to play in college (or are on a roster)? If the kids play outside school, it is mostly for one of those clubs. I must be missing the remarkable piece.

I would still like to see them play Brockton, Weymouth, Longmeadw, etc as per a previous poster. Also, pls stop talking about '02 (sophomore or repeat freshman more likely) and '03 (freshman) who will not make a difference on the field for several years. Now the right to dream 20 year old/'03/ 6'2'/ former professional incoming @ MX might well make a difference as will returning experienced players.

One of the two did not score any goals the entire DA season for the Bolts...

NESJ has posted its Top 15 teams in NESCAC, based on a coaches poll. Here's where the ISL teams rank:

                            7 (tie). Brooks
                            7 (tie). Milton
                            9. BH
                            12. MX
                            15. Rivers

My takeaway is that most of the coaches they polled don't really have a clue as to which teams are likely to better than last year, and which are likely to do worse. Brooks as the co-favorite, with all that they lost?? Whoever posted predictions earlier in this thread was much closer to the mark than this poll.
