West Pines and Sunrise should of combined their best players to compete. Its a sign of the times down here, keep fighting yourselves down here for nothing and embarrassing yourselves nationally

parents, get your heads out of your ass3s and merge these two clubs

If sunrise merged with pines, they would be probably get ecnl. That would give sunrise the fields they need. But I would bet my life sunrise wants nothing to do with them. Another option for sunrise is to merge with Miramar who already has ecnl on the boys side and doesn’t have a girls program. That seems like the more logical option. They have the nicest fields in broward too.

The clubs aren’t going to merge but the parents can merge the teams quite easily. That is the easiest option. The combined team would be able to compete nationally.

None of these clubs are getting girls ECNL until FC Prime fails or moves to Palm Beach County.

Neither is going to happen. No ECNL expansion in Florida

Every year, TBU parents are denying this, yet every year the truth comes out. Btw- the use some ECNL players at almost all tournaments the non-ECNL teams enter, and unless the player is a top 4-5 player, they’re told to play, not asked. You say no, you don’t make the ECNL team again.

Predictably, TBU parents will deny this, or they’ll defend the action as ‘showcasing’ the players. The fact is, TBU only cares about trophy hunting so they can poach more players from other clubs.

I believe it. They will probably bring the top 4-5 players this weekend.

This explains their horrible results at the Disney showcase. They couldn’t use ecnl players since their ecnl team was also in the showcase. They were on here blaming their coach but now it makes sense - they didn’t have ecnl players. What a crock of a club. Not sure why any parent would want their kid playing there unless you are on ecnl. Never know when you are getting replaced by an ecnl player. Sucks for them.

They use ENCL players.....what a cop out.

Do these ECNL players have testicles?? Are they 2 years older than the girls they play against??
Then who gives a rat's ***** if they play ECNL or DA?

I hope they do bring their ECNL players so everyone can see that these "special" players are for the most part just as good and/or bad as any other player their age. Mom may have a nicer rack and dad my drive a nicer truck, but the kid is still as inconsistent as any of the non-ECNL and non-DA girls.

It’s not that they use ecnl players. It’s that the results are not indicative of the level of teams involved. Ecnl is great for showcasing kids in front of college coaches. Us youth soccer does what it can to showcase a lower level player (theoretically) through fspl, sunshine conference and then regionals and national league. If a club takes the ecnl players who have there own showcases and don’t need help in that regard and puts them in the us soccer leagues, it could take away from the exposure that these lower level players could potentially receive. What if tbu wins the showcase conference, the team that would have the opportunity at regionals and the opportunity for exposure is now out of luck because tbu does this.

Meant “sunshine conference” not showcase conference

No denying, this 05 team has the injury bug. They on have a roster on 14 (http://home.gotsoccer.com/rankings/t...?TeamID=643372). They have 4 girls out due to injury. So this past weekend TBU used some bottom feeder ECNL players (2-3) to fill the game day roster. If you were at the games you would say the same about these ECNL players. As stated in a previous message, "these "special" players are for the most part just as good and/or bad as any other player their age". So these 2-3 bottom feeders really changed the game?????

Will TBU have a few ECNL players this weekend at the SSC, probably. Is that OK!!! If not, you will drive a few hours for a forfeited game.

Lets just wait until State Cup to talk crap....
