Elaborating on "playing outside" since it needs to be explained - i.e. kicking the ball against a wall two touches, playing 2v2 or 1v1 with friends and goals using flip flops for all I care, setting up cones on the grass and dribbling through, going behind a goal and striking the ball to use proper form.

Overall it's all about the love for the sport. Once a kid falls in love with the sport there's no stopping them and there are way too many kids in youth soccer that play because of their parents, friends, or whatever.

Actually I do think kids develop a proper “first touch” from training. You’re probably thinking all these kids that jump and use their shins to control a ball are doing it correctly because they learned on the street!

Yes kids need to have a natural love for the sport, in today’s society that is becoming increasingly difficult to foster with so many other influences including technology. It’s no longer safe to allow your kids to wander the streets to the local park to play pick up with friends. If a kid kicks a ball against the wall wrong and keeps doing it the first thing a coach has to do is break a bad habit which, in your world, the kid has perfected through countless hours on his own. “But he loves it” - give me strength.

This is disgusting, immature and horrible and downright embarrassing to BOTH clubs! This is kids soccer for God's sake. People on here are just bashing each other left and right, spreading lies and causing unnecessary conflict. At the end of the day who suffers the most is our children. Because we live in a small area eventually our kids will have to play together at one point in their lives and your not making it easy for them.
Both clubs have great coaches and trainers
Both clubs have talented and great kids
Both clubs have great facilities
Both clubs offer many opportunities for our kids

It's your choice for whatever reason to play at Gardens or Jupiter! We are lucky to have choices when just several years ago there were not many options for our kids. So let's stop talking trash about each other and stop spreading lies about each other. And concentrate on your child, there desire to play this beautiful game of soccer and there desire to excell, improve and compete.

"Thank you to every player and family that attended our tryouts this week. Our dedicated coaches are carefully reviewing their notes and are completing the first step of team selection for the upcoming season.
On Tuesday, May 21 our coaches will begin contacting tryout attendees to inform them where they stand. Attendees will be told 1. They stood out and are being invited to join their team, or 2. They impressed the coach, but the coach wants to see more of their play before making a final decision, or 3. They are not ready for the commitment to the program and should assess other options but should keep playing. They've just announced additional try-outs. You're right, how can they ask for commitment and then change their plan. Dis-organized. Don't even know all the coaching assignments yet, will probably change to try and keep certain players at the club. Look after the needs of the few rather than the team as a whole.
