If so, when do these things typically get announced? Can you start an informal national search before the current coach has left and the position officially opens up?

Depends on the contract. D3 schools aren’t going to fire someone under contract. They don’t care enough. If his contract is up, they can let him go, but my understanding is that is decided the year before the contract expires. So if he’s being let go, he already knows it. Other option is a one year. But in answer to your question, they won’t start a search until they’ve announced a change. I wouldn’t bet on a change either. NESCAC schools are usually pretty loyal.

Word is that his contract is up in the spring. If they wait until that time to start a search it would put the team in a tough spot next fall. Here's hoping the AD is making a move, the coach already knows and informal feelers have been put out there for a replacement.

Men's went 1-13-1. Women's went 6-7-2; not much different than 5-7-3 last year but still well within the "it's good enough for D3" performance.

I am curious when the Women's team head coach change was announced last year? Does anyone have first hand knowledge? I am trying to understand when a change might be announced on the Men's side if the AD decides to make a change. Shortly after the banquet in December or not until late in the Spring? Thanks.
