Good job OC. We, parents who have kids in this academy, are seeing changes take place. I still think they have a couple of years to go but it finally seems there is a north everyone is aim to.

For the sake of it, let’s share real facts so haters don’t take away from good things been done.

Interesting to watch next weekend, AU beats IM , and OC beats AU, using that logic OC should blow out IM.

It seems year after year its the same "heading in the right direction". Even if that's the case now the older boys will be out of luck by the time that happens.

My son is currently on a OC ECNL team with the hope of him someday playing for OCDA but he was recently invited to play for Verum Academy. Can anyone share more info regarding that team/academy?

I hope they don't change it up again. Just like the first team you need to give them time to make it work, OC front office has made it impossible to build a culture from the Manager to the Academy.

Verum Academy is a joke Tell Paul Shaw to take a freaking leap off a bridge. 18,000 a year so your kid can do virtual school and go through his drills with the other 12 kids that have mommy and daddy's who have deep pockets. If you have the money he will tell you your kid is the greatest. Good luck. Stay with the ECNL and tryout for the DA. That way you are getting the same PS Training for 3,500 a year.

I think they will be there for the long run. Unless another MLS come and takes them away...hint hint Miami just like they are doing with every other good employee

Wait, so OC (the club) is starting it’s own version of DA by partnering with Verum academy and offering its own virtual school and elite training with current OC staff including their director PS. So instead of sending their top players to OCDA and possibly lose them and stop making $ from them they offer the Verum Academy where they get to keep them and charge them $18,000. Interesting.

Verum is a waste of money - OC ECNL is also, for that matter. Terrible training...everyone knows that those that make the DA did it because they did their own training on the side from other coaches outside of OC. No OC coaches can get you there...their training is horrific. PS is the technical director at OCYS and you will get the same garbage at Verum, where he is also technical director. Save your money and get a Coach outside of OC that can train your kid.
