Where there are choices, the possibility is strong that better players in particular sports end up in the same place ... let them all play each other. While many are not terribly good at many sports, it only takes one or two (usually the same ones every year) that ruin it for everyone else with an uneven playing field.
Maybe you should do a better job at your high school
RHS is a public and has been on a great run
Again you are guaranteed kids at a public by law schools of choice aren’t guaranteed anyone shows up at all
Stop whining a work harder in the sports you care about players and coaches

Look at the sheer number of schools of choice that go to the semis every year in every sport. There aren't that many boys running in girls track either and they already have several state records in only 2 years!
That's also why there is a system in place for promotion/relegation. Stop complaining, play harder.

min of 2 when you move- doesn't matter enrollment , its success driven
Why'd Tolland move down after they won states last year? They were in L and then dropped to M.

Face it - part of it is demographics. Soccer is a sport for the better off. Staples, Ridgefield and others that tend to do well have a larger number of club soccer players. Parents who can afford such towns can also usually afford lots of activities for their children.

            Well, first there's this

Schools that draw from outside their school district boundaries who have been in the semi-finals or above two of the last three years will move up one division. Schools that have been in the semi-finals three of the last three years will move up two divisions. The most any school could move would be two divisions. Each year the committee will review results from the past three years and make adjustments as appropriate. Schools can move up or down depending on their success in tournament play.
*Charter, magnet, parochial, vocational technical, vocational agricultural and Project Choice schools that have more than 25 each of male/female students from out-of-district."
Second - their female enrollment is 406 this year and the cut toff for M was 411. In other words, they squeaked by this year but must not have last year. Despite moving down they're out of the running now, which means last year was probably an exceptional but not typical year for them. That's why there's a multi-year rule.

If you know Jack, you would know there is no question he will welcome a move back to L, where he can pick up a cheap title or two.

Happy to help. Agreed more fact based discussions would be a welcome respite fro club and coach slamming 24/7.

if you know jack- you would know he thinks he has the team to take class LL and FCIAC
they don't lose as much as everyone else- he does have a legit shot
but again he doesn't make that decision CIAC does

Tolland does not even have to be in this conversation. Although they moved down they are not in any semifinals. The issues are with private schools with selective enrollment being allowed to play in lower divisions. Besides basketball and maybe St Joe's girl soccer this really is not an issue.

unless your kid plays for RHS that LL title hasn't found you
there are no cheap titles, there a 4 champions and they all deserve it because they did the work to get it

if you are looking for 1 champion - then you have to change the system-it currently doesn't provide for one
and the best overall team doesn't always reside in LL-it will this year but not always
