TBU & Florida Premier FC are much stronger clubs then the Chargers. Florida Premier FC 2008 Boys A team (no guest players) beat Chargers 08 A team 8-0 ? How does US Soccer give the Chargers the USDA program?
You must be a little slow and most likely from Pasco. DA has been around for a decade now and point is to get the best players in the area playing and training in the right environment and help produce national team talent. Chargers sent 9 kids into YNT camps in the last year, so that’s how they have the program. Did those kids come from TBU, West Pasco, Clearwater, FC Tampa, etc.... yep. That’s how this whole thing works, most of the kids who get called in to YNT from OC and Weston came from local clubs who moved to their DA’s, because that’s how it’s supposed to happen for US Soccer. Now, get a life and stop worrying about u11 commissioners cup titles, nobody will care a year from now.

This is absolutely how it is supposed to work. And for years the Chargers were the top DA dog in town. But now that TBU is 1 year away from having full DA, that will all change. Now the best players will come to TBU for the DA and the ones that don't make it may go to CC or WFF. Those YNT player numbers are likely to dwindle from here on out as TBU offers DA, ECNL and other top leagues from a central location in a growing market.

Florida Premier brings kids up from Miami to bolster their A teams. It's all trophy chasing. Recruiting players from other clubs to lift the medal.

The Ranger's don't allow that. We may be a neighborhood club, but our kids learn how to play. And we compete with the best. And although we may not win the trophy every time, we never bring in kids from other clubs near or far just to win. It's about the kids. It's about learning. It's not about ego. It's not right for everyone, I know, but it is right for kids.

Compete with the best? You might play them but it doesn't necessarily mean you can compete!. Yeah okay. Please...your only decent team is your 18B. The rest are rec level teams.

What club is stronger, top to bottom? I admit, the CC DA has an edge on TBU. But that was because they could sell kids on the fact that TBU wasn't going to get full DA. That has changed. After that, there is ECNL. Are you telling me the CDL/NPL teams around here are better than the ECNL teams? They may not dominate against other ECNL teams... yet.... but they are improving and growing and will rise in those leagues as well over the next few years. And getting full DA is going to help that as well. Now the kids who are close to DA level but a notch below can be offered high level competition at TBU when they don't make our DA. So why would they go back to their neighborhood club?

And we don't put our A teams in second division commissioner's cup nor do we bring guest players from Miami.

Actually I am from TBU. I just love how the Chargers have an excuse for everything. And I give credit were it’s given. TBU & Florida Premier FC are developing most players in Tampa Bay and parents in Tampa Bay need to know. It’s not about Commissioners Cup it’s about the Chargers false advertising to the parents. I would LOVE for TBU & Florida Premier FC to merge and build one of the best Clubs in the Country.

Oh let's dont forget how FL Premier 07 silver team brings players from their number one 07B team to play in Largo Madness in the second division bracket. Trophy hunters should I say.

As a parent at neither club, I do that it would immediately be the top club in the state of Florida and a player on the national stage. But please tell me they would wear the Premier jerseys and not the TBU ugly ones.

Of course, by year 3 it could all fall apart if the cultures of the clubs don't fit. So, it would be risky.

Florida Premier FC is by far the best player developing club in Tampa Bay. Their youth academy & junior teams have been the best in Tampa Bay for the last 3-4 years. Those 3 Miami players have been registered with them the entire year not just for the state competition. They won the U11 & U12 Boys Divisions in Region C and those 3 players did not make a difference actually one of them did not even play in the final four. Florida Premier FC is the future of Tampa Bay soccer and it will be hard for the Chargers & TBU to live with that. The Rangers have been done the last 4 years nobody even talks about the Rangers anymore.

Oh I see....So if you register the player with your club that's not the same as "recruiting not developing" that everyone complains about the Chargers for? Come on. Well, since it was the commissioners cup, by rule those A team 2008 Chargers would have had be registered on their "Red" team. So all is forgiven, right?

It's more than 3 players, it's on both their 07 and 08 teams... and if they didn't make a difference, why are they there? It's for "development" right? hahahahaha. And don't pat yourself on the back because one of your Miami players didn't play due to a suspension. Trophy chasing at its finest. And maybe people outside of the community don't talk about the Rangers anymore because they don't engage in that ridiculousness. But everyone in the community knows that the Rangers do it right. Sport/Life balance. Teach fundamentals. Don't sell parents on BS. And earn your trophies, don't engage in BS to get them.

FL Premier is not the best club in Tampa. While I give them credit, they do have some solid young teams. However, when you talk about club as a whole, that includes both genders. FL Premier can't touch TBU, why? Because your girls side has no quality and will never have. TBU has the girls side on lock down and will continue be! CC Boys are good because of their DA but that's about to take a U turn, the girls program is terrible. Tampa Rangers, not even worth mentioning.

What have the Rangers done right? 1 practice a week and playing in the USA league? Maybe next year sign up your teams in the TARSA League.

On the girls side there is TBU and, occasionally, WFF. Does clearwater even have a girls side anymore? Florida Premier is a nice feeder program for the girls ECNL at TBU. We get your best every year and join them with our top coaching, league access and the players we've developed.

On the boys side, I think we can all agree that CC is a DA and nothing more. Dying club. Kind of sad really since they used to set the standard in the area. It's more fun if we have a rival.
