Waivers and post HS season add ons are only given to top players. Teams can't afford to be missing 10 players because they have to get scheduled games in. When players return/are added they take PT from players who had to give up HS, not only because they're good but also because they have to get in their 25% starts. That goes over really well.

Imagine that! "It's critical for development for players to be on our rosters for THESE 10 months, including the 2 months in the fall HS season" .... except for the top players who are better than you kids that we can't train ... they can play HS and come back when it suits them and then we can slow down for 3-4 months over the winter and then we can make those HS kids tops again for the last 2.5 months so they can go back to HS in the Fall .... the rest of you slackeys need to be here, pay on time, and miss HS so we have enough numbers in the fall to play a handful of games until the good players (that dont really need our training and methodology to be the best 5-6 players on their respective teams) are ready to come back and play. Don't be surprised when you lose starting jobs and tons of PT for these players who do not have to follow our rules ... they are better than you despite your additional effort and they always will be. Gotcha!

They aren't always better. But they are frequently more well connected. At least on our team. 1/4 of the roster played hs soccer. And only one is in the top 11 on the team.

They are ruining the sport here because they don't know what they are doing.
What clubs are you talking about? The DA club we are in all the coaches have the A or B license except the ones that coach u11 and below.

Anyone know who submits the game reports that are on the DA website? Home/away/winning team?

Uh oh, little Landon's team got jobbed for a goal this weekend. The actual score was 8-0, not 7-0!

um...no. kids team played opponent who had less than a full team on the field. game report shows that the opponent had full team. would a ref write an inaccurate report?

How could a GDA team have less than the number of players on the start roster? What club was it?

The poster child of clubs that never should have been allowed into GDA. Not only is it an awful club (they were basement dwellers in ECNL) but Long Island has three GDA clubs, only one of which is decent. The area should only have one. Then there would be one really good club.

Eagles (Ventura, CA) just announced leavening DA and going "all in" ECNL for 2019-20.

They aren't a strong GDA club, but it's SoCal (better teams overall) and this is supposed to be the epitome of GDA. The region lost Slammers last year, one of the top 3 clubs in the U.S.
