That sort of kid is always been viewed as the "smartest" kid around and their parents usually know at a very early age that they have a special kid. They don't worry about getting in to places like Harvard or Yale. They don't have to. It's the parents of "bubble" prospects who do all of the worrying.

The thing is in either case the players will pretty much have their path covered with rose petals by the administration and boosters because the pr about them will help sell the program with the next batch of recruit. Just the way things work in the real world. Some here may quibble over whether a MD or JD from one school or the other is better but in the end it functionally doesn't really matter because winners will always be successful.

Wish ID Camp Invites Weren’t So Scammy
It’s that time of year when college coaches dangle the opportunity for your player to be seen by their programs. Even the fake personalized ones are hard to decode.

And no, a bottom level CS graduate from Stanford absolutely, positively does not carry more weight than a top of class CS graduate from FSU, UMass, PSU, etc. I hire them all the time. But thank you for the cheese flavored conclusion.
