I don't see how legally a case like this was closed. How can this kid's parents accept that answer? Was there any kind of agreement between this family & the club? Why has this family not spoken up of the incident? Especially if that's the answer they received from the local authorities.

But lets put the legal portion aside & talk about the morality of these Weston FC Elitists. How do you not just be upfront about a matter like this? You address it immediately you ensure that the proper actions are taken. Authorities notified. You suspend all involved. Separate them from all children & you investigate the matter further. That's how the president of the club should have responded. But he went right along with he cover up. Still has these guys around. That really shows you how this club is & who really runs it.

How do you know when it was reported? The statement by the club says it was reported to US Center for SafeSport soon after as per federal regulations. I'm sure when the investigation is over we'll know the exact date, but assuming they tried to cover it up is not factual as of now. As for disclosing it to the public you best believe the high priced lawyers at Holland & Knight put a hold on that pending the results of the investigation. At the end of the day, a couple of idiot players did something wrong and they will be held accountable in some way, but should all the players in the Academy suffer as a result, probably not.
