    Crossfire and Salmon Creek
How about Thorns Academy with Laura Schott coaching 2 teams and is the Technical Director Head. DA teams train 4x per week and have a 10 month season.

How about Kevin Legg? He coaches 3 teams, ECNL Program Director, and Head Women's Coach at THUSC.

Salmon Creek coach has 4 teams, but they practice on 2x per week, and there travel schedule is a hell of a lot less than ECNL and DA.

Is it really not possible for him to do a good job or is it just easier to pick on Salmon Creek because they are not supposed to be that good, but regularly beat Oregon teams?

Salmon Creek beat our 03 and 00 girls teams. They aren’t so bad

DA has six coaches for five teams.

          Thanks for amplifying my point-

Kevin Legg is doing a terrible job. Have you seen his teams play?
Laura Schott- ummmm, players are leaving in droves. The Thorns are in shambles.

These coaches you mention are not doing a good job. If you understood how players learn and what they need you would understand.

It’s ok that salmon creek has coaches running four teams. They are a recreational club with a small grass roots program that feeds it. They train twice a week which is the bare minimum for a recreational player. There is a market for this and salmon creek fills it. They do charge like $1700 for that which is absurd but if they get that then more power to them.

For the ECNL clubs and the Thorns to understaff is robbery. These are clubs that play in Elite Leagues.

Why would it be easier to coach 3 teams at Crossfire than 3 teams at Salmon Creek. We have people on here that are saying a coach should not coach more than 2 teams. Someone should go tell Crossfire that they are doing it wrong.
Crossfire has assistant coaches with better licensing than salmon creeks head coaches.

It’s a different atmosphere at crossfire

Dozens of A licensed coaches tag teaming all teams. Your child is very well taken care of up there.

Salmon Creek you get one over worked coach coaching four teams with absolutely zero support from other staff. All of the equal recipe for disaster.

Dozens is more than one dozen, so you think at least 24 coaches at Crossfire have A licenses are a tag teaming all teams?

Can you even name 4 coaches at Crossfire who have A licenses and are tag teaming teams together?

If ECNL teams are bad and the Thorns are in shambles, where is everyone going?

Are they all going to Salmon Creek and is that why you are complaining about a coach running 4 teams?

Recreation teams do not train 2x a week.

I guess I don't understand how players learn and what they need, maybe you can help us all understand.

Where are all of these players going? You seem to be the wise one. Which soccer books did you read and would recommend?

FC Portland is $1600 and train twice a week:

Wow ... that is some crazy stuff that Salmon Creek is doing.

BTW, the underqualified coach from Salmon Creek that you are talking about... didn't he coach one of the top Crossfire Premier teams before moving down to Slammers and again coaching a top level team. Some crazy stuff those Salmon Creek people are doing.

Clarification: UPDX is $1500 to train 2x per week, and $1800 to train 3x per week (Premier).

Where did you see that? We are playing United PDX premier and practice 2x per week. That is why some of our players left to go to CU.

                                Sorry, you’ve been lied to.

Salmon creek 00 was the best team over anything from Oregon. This isn’t even refutable.

The 03s are 3-5th in the state. Better than fc Portland Ecnl but that doesn’t say much as everyone is better then them right now. Thorns 03 doesn’t even have a team right now
