        How is it an issue? Kids are covered under their parents plan until they are 26.

          Preexisting conditions apply to all, even newborns. Lifelong conditions like asthma will follow them into adulthood.

            A torn ACL at 17 will impact them at 45 when they need a knee replacement. This impacts everybody, young and old.

              If mom and dad can't get a plan, the kid will have no plan to be covered under.

                I believe most or all clubs, leagues and tournaments require players to have health insurance in order to be eligible to participate.

The state's expensive Medicaid program is on track to cover 30 percent of the state's population by next year and comprise 40 percent of the state budget. MassHealth will see a spending increase of nearly $1 billion in fiscal year 2018, counting state and federal money." From the article "Gov. Charlie Baker to propose $40.5 billion FY18 state budget"
                  How can MassHealth cover 30% of the population when prior to Romneycare 94% of the population was covered by employee program's?

                    Massachusetts is a pretty affluent state when compared to other states, so why should an affluent state be subsidizing their healthcare system with federal dollars?

                      I know jeez...there are defense contractors out there paying big lobbying bucks to get those federal dollars. Don't spend them on health care for losers.

                        Since many states don't have rich defense contractors to lobby Washington, aren't they the ones that need federal dollars more? Say like a state like West Virginia whose economy has been destroyed by progressive policies?

                        The answer would be no. Who gives a shyte about those redneck hicks when wealthy liberal states need the cash to promote their progressive policies.

                        Liberals = hypocrites.

                        It's in their DNA.

                        BTW start taxing Harvard!

                          And the churches. If these organizations are actively involved in electoral politics they should pay tax into the system.

                              And as long as you don't have lapses in your insurance, pre-existing conditions do not apply.
