Given the ramifications it isn't an unreasonable request.

Funny how Fox isn't talking about "deep state" intel any longer huh?
actionable intel isnt developed at Langley-its developed on the ground with unit commanders and sent up the chain
it gets to the top floor of the agencies but it isnt developed there- so this isnt a deep state thing

he was also adeemed a terrorist by the US and the EU- and has been thru at least 2 previous admins- he is a target of opportunity Bush and Obama both decided not take the opportunity, Trump waited 3 years

Times up snapper head, good riddance

He is also a terrorist. Killed Americans. Do some homework.

Anyway, he was in Iraq, not Iran and he wasn’t doing charity work there. No other military officer has ever died in a Foreign country? He got what he wanted. He is a martyr now. Probably surrounded by virgins in heaven.

          You say tomato ....

So by your standard MBS is also a terrorist. Official state post but he finances terrorists. So dual use. Same as the Iranian.

We could go on. Many Israeli premiers fall into the dual use zone too.

Con seems to want a world where there are targets on everyone’s backs including ours. Not me.

That nuclear deal trump kicked over seems more important all the time doesn’t it ?

No that nuclear deal doesn’t seem so important at all now
Wasn’t all that important when Obama / Kerry made it
So unimportant they didn’t even send it to congress to ratify it- wonder why
Maybe they would have asked questions like what is Iran going to do with the midnight $$$$$ drops? What terrorist charities were going to get funded
            Those kind of questions

You don’t think the PLO tries to kill Israel’s leaders? Hezbolla doesnt try?

Not really. Iran would be reduced to rubble quickly. We have them surrounded with subs and carriers and troops deployed in Middle East. You think Iran has military fire power and troops off the coast of LA or
Florida or NY? Iraq was a tough guy for a while too. Iran and Iraq fought to a tie. We wiped Iraq out in what? 21 days? You could argue it was over quicker. We would shock and awe them and they would be sleeping in their own urine and sheet within 24 hours to 48 hours. The Iranians should watch the video coverage as a reminder of what lies ahead. I hope it doesn’t come to that, but these sand bullies are all the same. A lot of bark, no bite when push comes to shove.

Trump announced Iranian cultural sites could be targeted, which is a war crime. In fact, killing Soleimani may have been a war crime. Nothing will piss the Iranians off more than targeting cultural and heritage sites.

What was Trump's calculation in all of this? Neither Bush nor Obama targeted Soliemani, with good reason:

"Elissa Slotkin, a Democratic representative and former CIA analyst focused on Shia militias, said in a statement that she’d seen friends and colleagues killed or hurt by Iranian weapons under Soleimani’s guidance when she served in Iraq. She said she was involved in discussions during both the Bush and Obama administrations about how to respond to his violence. Neither opted for assassination.

“What always kept both Democratic and Republican presidents from targeting Soleimani himself was the simple question: Was the strike worth the likely retaliation, and the potential to pull us into protracted conflict?” she said. “The two administrations I worked for both determined that the ultimate ends didn’t justify the means. The Trump Administration has made a different calculation.” https://www.theatlantic.com/politics...ni-now/604441/

it is well known that mosques have been used to hide weapons and people- thats a cultural site its also against the rules to blow up hospitals- but they shoot at us from them

Soleman was a righeous target- the reason neither opted to whack him is Bush was already in too deep (but that would have been the time to do it) and Obama was trying everything to get out and also buy a Nuke deal- cant whack a fav son

when the US is the only one playing by the rules it gets a little complicated

War Crime ?? according to who? GENEVA

when Hezbollah blows something up is it not cultural?

So let me get this straight.....not provoking North Korea with war games in South China Sea means trump loves dictators. Taking out a known terrorist for targeting Americans is provocative. North Korea hasn’t killed any Americans under trumps watch, Iran did. When he didnt act after Iran shot down a drone, attacked Saudi oil fields and blew up a civilian tanker, he was weak. Now he is war criminal for a drone strike that Obama did over 2000 times. Dems can’t have it both ways. Perhaps we should go back to the Obama doctrine. Draw a bright red line, watch the dictator step over it and kill his own people and then do nothing.

I do t expect a response to this because I dropped the mic on you like trump dropped it on the war criminal/terrorist Iranian

They'll start playing offense soon enough.

                              OK Ayatollah douchebeg

they will strike back ,they have to to save face at home- the regime has tons of problems, their economy is being strangled, they rely on oil sales and crush any dissent at home
they will strike back but at and with things that dont obviously tie back to IRAN proper- Hezbollah launching rockets into Israel, a terrorist attach in Saudi etc... something they can wink and nod about but not directly tied to them. thats to keep their homeland quiet
any direct action against the US will get their oil refineries blown up, or other such major infrastructure

trump has set the table- the regime which has been off limits is now FAIR GAME- not unlike when Reagan sent a Tomahawk thru Khaddaffi's bedroom window- that cooled his jets fairly quickly

Iraq's parliament voted to kick out or troops from their soil. Trump's plan is working really well for Putin and MBS.
