But it gives some kids that might got not be all that good a chance to play and get better so that is good.
Watching the USMNT is about as interesting as watching paint dry. Painfully boring.

It is really up to the DA Club.
Even if US Soccer allows, some clubs may not.
If the clubs make an exception then they are less competitive during the Fall and carry a huge roster in the Spring.

If you carry a roster of 25 then you have a lot of kids that don't get to play or travel and you face the wrath of parents. It's a catch-22.
HS is about the 'W" with the level of coaching provided.
Just an FYI DA Timbers are moonlighting (no practice in HS some cases) and these teams are not even blinking about the no show training..yes this true..OSSA doesnt care HS AD's don't even want to be bothered with Soccer in the Fall.

Only people who lose all the time say they don’t care about the “W”

Consultants is code for former soccer players who don’t want to get a real job.

It is pretty clear that most of the best players in the state are playing high school.
There are plenty of good players playing on the thorns too, but not the best.
If the Thorns Academy truly wanted to get and retain the best players they would drop the silly ban on high school sports.
Just my opinion of course.
