looks like a freshman from BC and a freshman for UConn (both from FSA) actually played
And they didn't give up HS soccer to get there

The kid from BC gets big minutes every game. The Uconn kid got his first 10 mins of the season. Both freshman, good for them both.

BC and UConn? Meh
The Wake Forrest right back did give up hs soccer and played 10 years at Oakwood. Wake is #1 in the country.

Wake Forest, meh.
Uconn has twice as many national championships. Maybe Wake will make the finals again this year and choke like last time?

UConn's national championships were 1981 and 2000. Not sure this reflects their current form. But, while we're on the topic:
UConn's last national championship was in 2000. Their captain that year was an Oakwood player from Glastonbury (MZ).
Wake's last national championship was 2007. Their captain that year was Oakwood player PP.

Do we really have to use initials when we are referring to grown men and simply stating they played on a team?

So, to paraphrase, no team can win the national championship without an Oakwood player as captain, right?

No, we don't. Childish tactic by club coaches, which represent most of the posts on here.

Those championships were so long ago, when OW was the top CT club. As of late OW has done very little.
