DA teams are expensive. You have to cut a check to US soccer for each team. This is above and beyond normal operating expenses. Big clubs that have multiple teams usually take a portion of profits from non DA teams to offset this expense.

To me....it sounds like OC owner is no longer paying for the DA fees AND the OCYS finances are in trouble....which is crazy. It's a huge club! That runs multiple tournaments! How can they have financial trouble? If they do....there must have been some questionable accounting somewhere between youth club / pro club.

Parents were told in meeting 95% chance of there being a GDA next season. Take that for what it's worth...

If we'll run, by quality leadership....it DOESNT have to be a cash drain. And it doesn't have to be fully funded either.

Do you think all the top programs LOSE money? None of the Atlanta programs are funded, but they keep killing it every year.

There are inherent advantages to being affiliated with an NWSL team that go beyond financing.

It takes leadership, vision, commitment.
