Originally posted by Unregistered View PostI give kudos to East Lake and AS - the U18 team had a good year. Sure they flamed out of state cup when got 3 red cards in final game - but aside from that they showed well in NPL, top of CDL, the better players move up to harder leagues - 4 or 5 to R3PL, one went to DA, some boys quit soccer to focus on football where they had scholarship opportunities, a couple went off to college (at least one D1), and a few stayed to join up with new incoming players from the local area. They did their job for the boys, served their role, and continue on hopefully to provide similar service to new kids coming in this year. Kudos to EL and AS. Nobody ever said they were a DA caliber program pumping players into the NT pool - they occupy a niche and did a nice job with it last season.
