OK, it's mainly Westside and PCU teams participating--but this is a fun little tournament.

    So there.

It is fun and at $175 per team, very fair on their fees. I'm always at a loss that there aren't more no WST/PCU teams in it. If you look at what Rose City Futsal, the Seaside beach tourney charge for a 4 game tourney (like $500) , they are a ripoff.

We played the Oregon Youth Futsal tournament this weekend. $43 for four 48 minute games. Cool event.

$350 per team. That pricing is outrageous! 4 v4 + GK for basically 3 hours of basketball court time in the summer. We said no, as it would of cost us $50 per player on our 7 person side. It's too bad these local enthusiasts are held hostage to the bball facility that charges them so much just to use a basketball court in the Summer and has to pass it on to the kids and families.

Suggesting to do it outside on a playground or even tennis courts, it's truly a street ball game that would attract so many more players in the summer if the price point were more reasonable for what you get with pop up goals and basketball gym.

There were quite a few other clubs sending teams--LYS, LOSC, ADF, BSC, Seaside, Saints, IFC, and HSC all had representation, though not in all age groups. Even THUSC had some teams there, something which would have been unthinkable back during the days of Tom Atencio.

But most of the teams competing were from the two host clubs (Westside and PCU)

$40-50 is perfectly reasonable for a full weekend event. As long as it is well organized and fun for the kids.
