Newton kids routinely turn down the Revs.

They can afford it. Revs players can only afford weed I guess.

            Justin Rennicks- Don't do it.

Revs on the verge of offering a pro contact to him but he's considering a move to the Bundesliga.

Justin my man, DO NOT SIGN WITH THE REVOLUTION.

I read he has interest from overseas clubs but wants to sign with Revs.
The new manager seems to want to sign from the academy. Starting to collect a few now.

Why would he even consider them?! Besides the fact it's a dead end for a career even for MLS standards vs going to Europe. but they screwed him over!

Wouldn't it be funny if he led them on and then said "psyche!" ?

Serious question. Isn’t he the kid that got kicked out for training in Germany? If so, my kid will do the same. #f*ck Scales

Legit logistical question- JR went to Germany against permission of revs (smart kid). Booted and went to Bolts but revs kept his rights (just to be a ss holes about it). If revs offer him a contract is he free to say no? If a German team offers him a contract can he say yes? Does he need revs permission and does the Ger club need to pay revs for him? And doesn’t he still have a year or two left in college? Why do all this now?

Revs own his homegrown MLS rights only. They can trade his rights to any MLS team for TAM. He can sign abroad without compensation to the New England Revolution because he's not a pro yet. He also can leave college whenever he wants to sign professionally.

If the Revs release a player they have the right to grievance regarding the homegrown rights. He can petition to be released and would probably win.

IF you want any shot at being a professional player you go pro as soon as you can. College soccer is high school ball on steroids. Yes he's on a top team but it pales in comparison to playing professionally ,especially playing abroad. Internationally players commit starting as young as 16. Here our players are in DA for 2 mores and then many go to college - not surprisingly our NTs start to backslide during this time as other countries progress forward
