lol even if he was a "walk on" (he wasn't) a player of that caliber would NEVER have had an issue making a roster. A player of that caliber is noticed well before it's time to consider recruiting. It's rare that a top athlete gets overlooked.

He wasn’t a player of that caliber when he got there. He had the potential and put in the work and became the player he is today

Come on. Curry was not a walk on at Davidson. Curry was a scholarship player at Davidson. His dilemma was taking the scholarship at Davidson versus a walk on spot at Virginia tech. He was a big time player in high school and scored a ton of points as a freshman in college. The big schools just thought he was too small. He was very good in college from day 1. Anyone who thinks he couldn’t be taught to be a soccer stud when he was a kid is crazy. The best athletes wouldn’t be hit it over the top soccer players. The best athletes can all be coached. What you can’t do is train the mediocre athlete from the rich suburbs to be world class players. I don’t care who coaches them. But you keep writing those checks for privates cfc dad. Maybe it will pay off.

Sign your kid up for additional privates this weekend. That is how pros are made in all sports clown. Soccer isn’t an elitist sport anywhere in the world but here. The best athletes learn on the playground and get discovered for free academies because they are the best players and athletes around.
