Well, given the fact that Weymouth barely beat Braintree 1-0 at home, that then must be the most embarrassing result of the year. A win that feels like a loss, if you will. Or the actual loss to Wellesley, complete blowout loss to Framingham - who apparently has a limited attack, this weeks tie to NN.

Take your pick.
So you win 1-0 at home and don’t allow the other team a shot the entire game but don’t finish your chances to put the game to rest it’s a embarrassing results? It’s a win.
1-0 loss in the home opener to a Wellesley team coming off a state title game who have been underachieving this year but are still in the tournament unlike Braintree.
Loss at Framingham isn’t embarrassing either another team in the tournament unlike Braintree.
Neither is a tie against newton north on the road giving up a goal with 5 minutes left. Another team in the tournament unlike Braintree
Or how about the 5-4 loss at Needham who is the number 1 seed in D1 south. Another team in the tournament whom Weymouth also beat 2-0
Not really sure what your argument is here but it’s pretty pathetic and embarrassing.

I agree with this post which shows that soccer is soccer and a 1-0 score doesn't really tell you anything about how the game was, only that one team hit the back of the net.
I am not a Weymouth parent, but I might choose Weymouth to win the south division 1
As for Newton North, well....they are a good team and seem to be getting better toward the end of the regular season. Facing NN or Wellesley in the first round might not be so pleasant.

Weymouth, or the personification of Weymouth who scratch out the most pathetic post tis year, lost to Framingham 5-0. Any team who makes the playoffs can and will beat Weymouth on any given day.

1 game. Player should’ve been suspended due to cards but still played and scored 2 goals.
Shakes up the standings a little.
Needham likely has to win both of the next two games to assure winning Baystate.
Newton North has been strong.
Brookline is good as well.
Nothing guaranteed.

The upcoming Needham Brookline game is non league.
Even with the forfeit I think Needham guaranteed a share of the Herget after beating Braintree yesterday. Need a tie or a win against NN to win it outright. Or of course a Braintree result against Weymouth...
The extra win certainly helps Framingham cement their hold on the Carey

Basically it opens up the potential for a herget shared title between Weymouth and Needham.
More importantly it opens the possibility of Weymouth or someone else catching Needham in the D1 South standings. Newton north is firing on all cylinders right now and Brookline is fighting for their tournament life. Tough road for Needham but I expect them to likely get 3 points.
Weymouth has the most to play for, they can secure the 2 seed if they win out. Have a chance at the league title with help. Also have the chance to knock both Braintree and BC high out of the tournament this year with wins in their last two games which I expect them to get two wins.

Will it really matter who end up as #1 and #2? Both will likely get first round bye and not sure which half of the bracket will be the easier road at this point.

Do you mean co-champ of Herget? or something else?
