To anyone out there with younger kids just starting soccer. There is a ton of help out there especially from US Youth Soccer. Coaching one's children at a young age is extremely rewarding and fun. Even being an assistant coach is extremely rewarding.

If they become talented enough you can hand them off to a premier team at some point. But up through U12 you can usually coach them in town as they also play premier.

Don't be afraid - you'll be amazed that it's really more fun than you realize.
