Multiple cases of case spread among summer camps show that is not the fact. That + other studies have shown kids are spreaders - although they're more effective at spreading ages 10+ than <10. There's not much kid to adult transmission since kids haven't been in school or many other places since March. That's about to change.

There's a big difference between wanting to be right and reminding the Pollyannas of the world that their rosy predictions about fall soccer were terribly naive.

We should be clear. All of us, including those that predicted that there would be no fall club soccer, want there to be sports in the fall. Just because we looked at the trends, the potential logistical hurdles, the politics and the stubborn shortsightedness of Americans and projected that there would be no sports in the fall doesn't mean that we wanted to be right. The guy who finds the asteroid that is about to destroy the planet doesn't want to be right, but he still needs to make his prediction.

If Republicans were interested in the real truth, they would have watched and read about Trump before nominating him. They would have seen him for what he was and how incompetent he would prove to be as president. If they wanted truth, they would have listened to Mueller and the 17 US agencies that said that Russia actively interfered with the election in order to get Trump into office - even if he was not proven to be coordinating their efforts.

If they wanted truth, they would have listened to the Lindsey Graham statements made while Trump was a candidate, not the statements made when Graham needed to suck up to him once he was in office. If they wanted the truth, they would have listened to the "adults" in the government who Trump fired or removed because they would not go along with his schemes.

Also, they would have seen a massive red flag go up on the day of his inauguration when Spicer and Conway started introducing "alternate" facts about crowd sizes, fake media, etc.

Trump’s people are hoping for a “holy grail of a vaccine before the November 3 election. I can’t imagine many people will be rushing to get any vaccine for which there will be real questions about the safety and efficacy of a rush to get something to market.

FSS enough with that tired messaging. NO ONE WANTS IT. It's just we see the data, have already seen schools and camps face issues, NCAA athletic teams having outbreaks, know that the unions and a tiny portion of parents will scare administrators. It all adds up to a highly probably mess. If by Thanksgiving schools haven't been closed down I will be doing a happy dance, happy for my kids and everyone else

Even if current tests show a miracle vaccine, it still takes time to ramp up production, those runs have to be safety tested again, it has to be distributed and they're also worried there aren't enough supplies "syringes" etc. State public health officials have said they're receiving little to no information from the Feds on how distribution is going to work. They need that info so they can plan
