Coach is new. Seems to be putting the effort in to build a strong program. Not sure of his coaching ability since this would be his first (maybe second) year.

If you haven't been to the campus I would highly suggest that you check it out. The quad and facility are really nice (if you like that granite building look). But the athletic facility and turf field are down the hill and across a busy road (there is a catwalk to get over). The athletic building looks tired.

Tiny schools like that are going to struggle in the future to keep sports running and even doors open.

CC has been on the rise in NEPSAC over the past 3-4 years, moving from middle of the pack to now challenging for the league title--getting some NCAA berths recently and getting close to challenging Tufts' dominance. Coaching switch at CC in 2019 did not appear to set them back (former coach retired and handed reigns to assistant, who appears to be a good guy and a good coach), so they may well continue to be a good team. But as usual it all depends on their ability to replace their current talented classes with new talent. Tufts' loss of its head coach may create an opening for CC and some of the other competitors to finally topple them, although they have some built in recruiting advantages (size of school, proximity to Boston, etc). At least, looking from the outside, it appears that CC is a place that values men's soccer, wants to win the league, and has a realistic shot at doing so.

The real shame is that we wont know for another year.

As reported in NESJ, Conn College just lost their All-American GK, who left for a pro career.

CC will be just fine. All the NESCAC schools will be.

Conn is a great school. Soccer ends in 4 years and Conn will prepare students for life after college/sports. Paid internships, ability to create your own major, self scheduled exams, great study abroad programs, active campus life, etc. student can have it all at Conn.

My son was recruited by Burk, and he is a great guy. First rate communication, and he works hard at recruiting. My son and I really like him.

The school doesn't have a football team, and the soccer pied is at one end of the main quadrangle, which probably means Conn values soccer more than many schools.

Plus it ended last year ranked 6th in the nation for D3 teams. Not too shabby.
