Blow it all up and start over. Organization, coaching, DA, all of it. But right now headquarters has turned into Lord of the Flies, everyone out to save themselves.

Few will ever go pro or even have the skills and mental toughness to go pro. College is the goal. The system is too big for what's realistic to achieve. Let MLS pull out and leave all the rest - college bound players - in a separate league

Women have no real pro league to play in - US college soccer is, for now, the goal for many players, even international ones.
More male players are eschewing college to go pro or at least not playing in college for long. College ball is not the same as playing professionally. It's HS ball on steroids where the wins help the coach keep his job. Our international competitiveness starts to slip once we hit U17 or so because all over the world players are playing internationally, not in DA or in college. By the time a player graduates that much more developmental time is gone
Players who couldn't cut it at international academies are taking US college and MLS spots over our US players. When that trend stops, or even slows down, then you'll know we're making progress
