This merger makes some sense. Beachside needs cash and backing which Rush can offer. They have already built a facility for Cedar Stars and can offer that to Beachside. It also then allows Rush the opportunity to expand into New England with a DA pathway. Only thing that kills this type of deal is getting The Greek to partner with JS. Not sure either would relinquish control.

Honestly if CSA took over BSC DA, cleaned house and got a real home field, there would be a lot more interest in that club from people who just couldn't take the MK way.

I’m confused. Are people saying that Beachside May merge with Rush or with Cedar Stars? Sounds like the Cedar Stars connection would be valuable if it’s true they have deep pockets. The Rush thing makes less sense. Very average club in CT with no deep pockets and no permanent home of their own. Beachside would get absolutely nothing with a merger that centers on Rush in CT.

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostRush nationally is pretty strong, but it's more of a franchise operation. As such it's local performance is dependent on who is running it locally. With JS involved with Rush it explains why CT Rush hasn't done much. CS doesn't operate that way. But BS has nothing tangible to offer other than a weakened brand reputation. CS would have to really invest and given the state of flux with DA right now (will MLS pull out or not and if they stay what will be the impact on non MLS clubs with the 2 tier system?) they may not want to take that risk right now.

Beachside lists HB Koge as a professional partner now. That club is also listed as being owned by this guy, George Altirs. Clearly there is some connection already formed.
